Active Kids Mascot has been operating in the ever-growing community of Mascot for 13 years. Our day care centre is located a short walk from the Mascot train station and near a number of bus stops. Our child care centre in Mascot believes that communication is the key to any partnership, educators communicate with families on their childâs daily routine, development and family life.
Our child care centreâs learning environments are forever changing to meet the needs and interests of the children. Our learning environments are designed to allow all children to engage in our curriculum and to take a learning journey that builds a sense of being, belonging and becoming for the children.

Through our sensory environments, our learners discover their creative side through touch, smell and sound. The curriculum offers each child a learning experiences that is appropriate to their stages of development, therefore promoting positive learning outcomes for all children. We follow a structured programming schedule and complete a daily online journal documenting activities and learning each day through Kindyhub.
Children are provided with a wide range of resources and materials to inspire and build their learning. Natural materials and open ended resources are included and support and develop each childâs creativity, problem solving and physical skills.

Bondi Childcare Rooftop
Active Kids Bondi is a child care centre located in a beautiful, quiet street just a short walk from the world famous Bondi Beach. Our daycare in Bondi is open Monday to Friday and has a wonderful outdoor environment, including a rooftop play area, that is natural and spacious which offers stimulating learning experiences for each individual child. Our Indoor environments are well lit with natural light and our facility is full of natural resources. Our Centre is well structured, inviting, warm, tidy, and clean.
At our preschool rooftop play area, our child care students take part in a number of different activities. For physical education, our learners take part in our Learn and Grow Fitness and Dance Programs up on the roof top, as well as being able to ride their bikes and enjoy the play equipment. Our rooftop garden also allows students to learn about different types of plants, fruits and vegetables as we have our own vegetable patch. For fresh air, our day care students love going to the rooftop to draw, read and play.
We are also proud to have an experienced childcare chef who provides all meals which are prepared and cooked on site inclusive of breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The meals are carefully prepared, and we cater for each individuals dietary requirements.

AKG Awards 2021
Earlier this month Active Kids Group celebrated the year and their achievements at their annual Christmas party. We were proud to award multiple child care educators who display AKG’s mission and values as educators. Vaucluse Cottage Recognition For Outstanding Service

On top of this, HMAS Watson has congratulated Vaucluse Cottage Child Care Centre for their outstanding efforts by providing them with the âBravo Zulu Awardâ. Their ongoing efforts to engage local organisations, including their partners HMAS Watson, has provided the best environment for child care learning, participation, and a strong sense of community for the children and families within the day care.

End of Year Celebrations at Thumbelina Child Care
Thumbelina is a child care centre in Edgecliff that has been educating children under Active Kids Group since 2010. Thumbelina has a strong community connection and ensures all families and their children feel safe and secure and have a sense of belonging throughout their Early Childhood journey.
This day care is divided over 3 levels and the children have designated areas for both indoor and outdoor play. We believe that incursions, excursions and extra-curricular activities are an integral part of educating the children and developing each childâs broader understanding of the world around them.
Our AKG learner’s at Thumbelina child care centre celebrated the end of this year with their fellow learners, educators and families. They had a picnic spread, face painting and an exciting visit from Santa!
Gianny, our service coordinator at Thumbelina had this to say: The children and their families are often with us for many years as two or more siblings will attend the day care centre. This means the parents are well known by all the staff and feel like a part of the Thumbelina Family, which makes these end of year celebrations even more important for our families.

Clyde Street Early Learning Centre is one of Active Kids Group child care centres in North Bondi, nestled in a beautiful quiet cul-de-sac. This service caters to the needs of all children and families from 18 months to school age, inclusive of a school readiness program. Clyde Street, together with our local schools join together in a transition to school program.
Whilst getting to know the child through interaction and observation, we consider each childâs developmental needs and provide for their many challenging yet positive strengths based learning experiences that ignite each childâs self belief in themselves and what they are able to achieve. For the happiness of our children, families, visitors and staff we aim within Clyde Street to have a friendly home away from home. We remind each other to view ourselves daily with fresh eyes and make sure our physical environment is inviting and organised so as to spark childrenâs curiosity and inspire exploration, discovery and play throughout the day.
At out child care in North Bondi, meal time and its preparation are very important to us. We believe fresh seasonal produce is best and these are reflected in our daily healthy meal plans. Clyde Street Early Learning Centre offers morning tea â which is a platter of different seasonal fruits. Lunch, â a hot meal cooked in our kitchen, comprising of a protein (meat, fish, chicken or vegetarian), a carbohydrate and loads of vegetables. Our amazing day care chef is able to adapt the menu to suit different dietary requirements. Munch and Move as well as the NSW Health, guide our menu planning and healthy eating habits. The backdrop for our outdoor area is a magnificent rock cliff. The playground has a large free spaced area for children to be able to develop many gross motor skills. This safe child care area also features two slides, a sandpit, cubby house and a small natural garden. A large covered deck area allows children to use this space to explore and investigate their ideas whilst at our day care centre.

Active Kids Newtown is a child care centre located in the busy suburb of Newtown, about a 10 minute walk from Newtown train station. At our child care in Newtown, we are committed to providing the ideal early learning curriculum and learning environment for every child.
At Active Kids Group, our child care play-based program focuses on using the childrenâs interest and strengths to scaffold on their learning. At our day care in Newtown, we believe that school readiness starts from the nursery. Play based early education provides opportunities to continuously cultivate the social skills during play time and to create and maintain friendships.
Here at Active Kids Newtown, we aim to open the door to the wonder and excitement of learning, discovering and exploring. Active Kids Group have opened tours at our child care centre located in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Active Kids World Square, our child care centre in Sydney CBD, has been operating for 15 years and is driven by a strong, dedicated team of long serving educators. Our day care centre coordinator, Evelyn Frawley, has worked with Active Kids World Square since February 2011.
Active Kids World Square and World Tower have recently been rated âExceedingâ National Quality Standards by the Australian Childrenâs Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
At our day care in Sydneyâs CBD, we engage with our local community and encourage visits from the Navy, Police, Fire and Rescue along with dentists, doctors and members of the Indigenous community. We invite a number of external incursions to come and visit our service including Reptile shows, Braveheartâs and Bandage Bear. We also take the children on excursions to events such as NAIDOC in the Park, Lunar New Year in World Square and also to Castlereagh Fire Station where the children get a chance to meet members of the CBD community first hand.
Our early education centre also celebrates a variety of different events throughout the year which reflect all of our World Square familiesâ backgrounds and the surrounding community.
Active Kids World Square consists of a purpose-built nursery and preschool centre complete with natural environments, a museum, an art and craft room as well as a community library. Each room is warm, inviting, bright and structured to assist each individual child to learn, investigate, discover and explore. At this early learning centre in Sydney CBD, we have separate modern cot rooms for our under twoâs and toilet training facilities for our over twoâs. Our extended family consists of fish and other sea creatures including yabbies.
Our large outdoor area features a spectacular natural garden where we also care for our rabbits Hip and Hop as well as budgies, rainbow lorikeets and parrots.
