Rhiannon – Active Kids Bondi Service Coordinator

A Little About Rhiannon

I have worked in a variety of roles both in Australia and England, which is my home country. I started off my journey at a young age when I travelled to Fiji to teach English to primary school children, this was when I knew I wanted to work with children.

In 2010 I began as an Early Childhood educator assisting across all rooms in my Childcare centre back in England. I worked here in between my travels to New Zealand and South East Asia and eventually progressed to being the Room Leader of the toddler room

In 2016 whilst on my working holiday visa in Australia I began working at Active kids Bondi, before continuing my travels to South America. In 2017 I decided to return to Australia to study Leadership and Management and return to Active Kids to take on the role of Room Leader in the Toddler room. Since then my journey has slowly progressed by taking on various roles of 3IC, 2IC and now joint Co-ordinator of Bondi.

I find the most rewarding part of working at Active Kids Bondi has been watching each child grow and develop throughout their time with us. I have formed strong bonds with both children and parents over the years, offering them a safe and secure learning environment and helping to support them in any way possible. I have also loved working with such a big and diverse team, enabling the learning of different cultures for not only the children but also myself.

I love to travel and have been very fortunate in being able to travel to many places around the world. I love spending time down the beach soaking up the sun whilst reading a book in the summertime. I am also into my fitness, I try to train at the gym four times a week, however I find a healthy balance by going for dinner and drinks as well as exploring new places in my spare time.
