Meet Natasha our centre coordinator from Moore Park
I began my journey with Active Kids Group and started working in the Early Childhood Industry when I graduated from high school in 2006.
I started my career with Active Kids Group as a trainee, completing my certificate III in Children’s Services at our World Square service. During my time at World Square I was fortunate enough to work alongside our very own children’s services manager Jodie Teran. From the very start I learnt from only the best!
After 6 years of working with Active Kids Group I went on maternity leave in 2012 when I gave birth to my beautiful daughter Annabella. For the first year and a half of Annabella’s life, I spent my time as a stay at home mother enjoying motherhood and the unique and unrepeatable moments that having your first child brings. During this time I also tapped into my creative side- I started decorating vases, mirrors and mdf words. At the end of 2012, I started my own business from home ‘Sparkle & Co Designs’, which consisted of designing and sewing cushions, quilt covers and curtains and quickly developed into events, wedding receptions, milestone birthday celebrations and of course my daughter’s first birthday.
In 2014, I returned to Active Kids Group and spent time as an educator at our Newtown, Homebush, Bondi and Narwee services. Within a year of my return I was presented with the opportunity to join the team at head office- I knew this was my chance to gain more knowledge and experience with Active Kids Group and graciously accepted. My roles at head office have included everything from administration to family accounts, events to family relations and finally marketing and communications. Whilst working alongside the team at head office, I was also able to complete my Diploma in Children’s Services as well as complete my training in child protection, first aid and asthma and anaphylaxis.
After 12 years of working with Active Kids Group, I knew I was ready to take the next step in my career. This year I was given the opportunity to work as the centre coordinator at our Moore Park service. Since transitioning into the coordinator role at Moore Park, I have established wonderful relationships with the team, families and the children. I believe in quality care and providing engaging learning environments that challenge our little learners to reach their highest potential. I am thrilled to be working so closely with such a passionate and dedicated team of educators.
What I love about working for Active Kids Group is the amazing support I receive from our management team, head office team and all the other service coordinators. It truly feels like we are one big family and I absolutely love it. The ongoing support that we all receive enables us to be the best we can be. Active Kids Group not only unlocks children’s potential but unlocks our potential as educators.
