Woollahra Cottage is accessed via a quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of Westfield Bondi Junction. The convenient location makes our centre easily accessible to families within the local community whether they are using public transport or driving.
Our centre provides only the highest level of quality care and caters for 66 children per day, operating since 2013.
The service is divided into 5 learning spaces:
Our Nursery 1 catering for children 8 weeks-1 year
Our Nursery 2 catering for children 1-2 years
Our Toddlers catering for children 2-3 years
Our Preschool 1 catering for children 3-4 years
Our Preschool 2 catering for children 4-5 years
Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, our qualified educators work in collaboration with the children and families to meet their needs and enrich their learning. Our learning spaces incorporate all areas of development using elements of nature within our environments. This includes, but is not limited to a Zen Den used as a quiet retreat for yoga, reading and relaxation.
Our simulated outdoor spaces give children the opportunity to explore different environments at their leisure. Imbedded within our program from the day your child starts at our service, we start to prepare them for life beyond the classroom. In the year leading up to their graduation we have a strong focus on school readiness skills, inclusive of our School Liaison program with our local school, Woollahra Public School.
We uniquely incorporate a program especially designed by our Learn and Grow Team which consists of a Fitness Coach, Language and Dance & Drama teachers that deliver weekly sessions for the children during the school term.
We provide all meals inclusive of hot lunches and dinners, all of which are prepared fresh daily on site by our amazing Italian chef. All seasonal menus are certified and approved by the NSW ‘Munch n Move’ Team and can be adapted in order to meet any health and dietary requirements. In addition to food, we also provide our younger children with nappies, formula (S26) and a comfortable space for breastfeeding.
Throughout the year Woollahra Cottage holds a variety of events which reflect the surrounding communities, families and diversity within our service. We have established community networking and links and continue to build relationships with our local community.
Our dedicated staff are valued and appreciated through our Staff Recognition Program. They are acknowledged by fellow educators and families. Educators are also provided with on- going professional training throughout the year.
Our open-door policy encourages families to come and view our service, spend time with their children and contribute to the development of our programs by sharing experiences or simply reading to them.
